Head Coach of Golden Heritage, Isaac Siasia has said that his team tactics which involves mounting pressure on the opponent gave them the big win in the 5-1 thrashing of G12 Football Club as they coup all three points in style for their first league game in the Fusion Football Championship.
Notably, this is their first season in the Fusion Football Championship which is being played at the Legacy Pitch Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Sports247.ng writes.
“They are a good side, strong, young and very determined but our tactics made us work harder, putting the pressure on them and that’s where we got our goals,” he explained.
“During the game, we had our own mistake too but we will go back and work harder because we don’t know what’s coming next, we are going to prepare for the next game.”
“We might meet a very good side and that will be a problem but in today’s game, the team were fantastic, we have learned too so now we will go back and prepare again.”
On the team’s league aspiration, he said, “I know we are going to finish in the Super 4, that’s the target if we don’t top the league because we have some players currently injured who are important but can’t play.”
“We are working to recover them quickly and faster and see what we can do. After the next game, we will know where to go.”
“Other teams will know we are around because what we have, the quality as we have have been working so hard, playing a lot of games and competition in different states. We know we can get something out from here with hardwork,” he confidently remarked.
