Fusion Football Championship: Festus Odini Bemoans Smart City ‘Not So Good’ Performance in Draw Against North York

Festus Odini, head coach of Smart City has bemoaned his side ‘not so good’ performance following the 1-1 draw gainst North York FC in the Fusion Football Championship.

Smart City had taken the lead through Aminu Ibrahim in the 33rd minute going into halftime but they conceded an 87th minute goal from Samson Jonathan to put things level and share the spoils, Sports247.ng reports.

“It’s not a bad game, the opponent came out very strongly in the second half and showed that they needed to win the game,” Festus said in his assessment of the game.

“For my boys, the performance is below par especially in the second half. I told them that they should expect but they didn’t play to instructions and that’s why the result is this way.”

“The game isn’t what I expected, the opponent had a very strong intention to win but it ended up in a draw. It’s not a good one for us but it’s still a work in progress for us as we want to make the ‘super four’,” he stated.
