“The NFF has been fantastic,” Olowookere said. “They’ve given us the right environment, equipment, and logistics to prepare properly for the World Cup.”

He also noted that the Federation has made deliberate efforts to ensure that the team gets adequate exposure and preparation through friendly matches and training tours. “Our target is not just to participate but to compete for the title. We are going there with belief,” he added.

Olowookere further praised his players for their commitment and discipline during training, saying the team spirit is strong and motivation is high.

The Flamingos are one of Africa’s brightest hopes heading into the global tournament, and Nigerians will be hoping they can surpass their semi-final finish from the 2022 edition in India.
