FIRST ICE CURLING ARENA PROJECT IN AFRICA KICKS OFF

The president of the Nigerian Curling Federation, Damola Daniel is delighted that work has already begun on the first ever Ice Curling Arena in Africa.

In his words, “We have started clearing of the property and we have some other ground works like the fencing of the parameter and afterwards other things will commence.”

“As of today, we have not gotten any financial support from anyone not even from the ministry of sports or the LOC though we have not officially sent in our request to them but we are trying to push our limit the we can see what we can do.”

Mr. Daniel appealed to Sports loving Nigerians, corporate entities to help financially by donations and sponsorship so that this project can be a reality.

He reiterated,” This facility is the first of its kind in Africa and it is going to be a huge opportunity for us all in Nigeria as the leading nation in Africa in the Ice Sports.”
