Rivers United of Port Hacourt coach, Finidi George has set his mind on getting victory over Power Dynamos of Zambia this weekend in the CAF Champions League, because he believes his team play better at home, Sports247 reports.

The former Super Eagles’ winger and head coach admitted that Dynamos outplayed his side during the first leg that ended goalless last Saturday in Ndola, Zambia, but also noted that his players gave a good account of themselves in the first half.
However, the ex-international, who got top marks at Calabar Rovers FC, Ajax of Netherlands, Real Betis of Spain and Ipswich Town of England, admitted that The Garden City side should have achieved a better result.
The Nigerian icon, who is still fondly called ‘Finito,’ accepted, “It’s not the result that we wanted, but it was a difficult game for us. In the first half, we tried to contain them a bit, but they pushed us back in the second half.
“In the second half, it was more of Dynamos taking control of the game. It was not the result we wanted, but we were happy for the draw.”
He then conceded that a win would have been better for The Pride of Rivers, considering that they have only one point to show from three matches, one of which they lost at home against RSC Berkane of Morocco, who top the group on goals difference ahead of Pyramids FC of Egypt.
Although both top teams look unassailable with seven points each, and his side already lost a game at home, Finidi is staying upbeat about his team’s chances when they host Dynamos this Saturday in Uyo.
“We are not totally satisfied, because we have only one point. This draw would have been a good result for us if we had won against Berkane.
“We lost that game in the last one minute of added time, and we conceded two goals. If we had won that game, this draw would have been a perfect result for us.
“Now, we are going back to face the same team at home. We know that’s an opportunity for us, because we are stronger at home,” Finidi reasoned.
