Nigeria’s cadet female national team, Flamingos’ coach, Akeem Busari, has admitted that his biggest target during Wednesday’s semi-finals clash with Brazil at the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup is to end with a result that will make his country proud, Sports247 reports.
While confessing that he has strong personal desires from the game, which is billed to kick off at 7 pm Nigeria time in Salé, Morocco, Busari added that his players are also determined to give their very best in order to make the team’s supporters happy.
The former head coach at DUFA Football Academy of Lagos and Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan added that reaching the semi-finals is already a huge achievement for him, but he now wants to take a step further by picking a ticket into the grand finale.
The soft-spoken tactician concluded with a bold declaration that his players will give their very best effort in order to end up as the better side on the night and have the last laugh, despite most odds tilting the game in Brazil’s favour.
“Reaching the semi-finals is a dream come true for me and a great achievement. I’m looking forward to it because I want to make my country proud. We want to give our best in the match and show everyone what we can do,” Busari asserted
