“We don’t want to just make up the numbers,” Abdullahi said.
According to the Falconets assistant coach, the technical crew is determined to prepare the team thoroughly in order to compete strongly on the global stage.
“The goal is to make a statement,” he implied.
Abdullahi revealed that preparations have already started behind the scenes as the coaching crew studies potential opponents and tactical approaches ahead of the competition.
“We are already gathering information on other teams,” he noted.
The coach stressed that detailed preparation and proper planning will play a major role in Nigeria’s chances at the tournament.
“Preparation is extremely important at this level,” he added.
Nigeria’s Falconets remain one of Africa’s most successful teams in FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup history.
“The expectations are always high for the Falconets,” many football observers believe.
Abdullahi remains optimistic that the current squad possesses enough quality and determination to compete effectively against the world’s best youth teams.
“The players are working very hard,” he stressed.
For the Falconets coaching crew, the message is clear.
Preparation has already begun.
The ambition is serious.
And Nigeria intends to compete strongly in Poland.
Because success at global tournaments is built on planning, discipline, and strong mentality.
