Speaking in an interview with Sports247 Naija, the coach acknowledged the quality of their opponents but emphasized his team’s focus and preparation.
“We respect their journey, but we focus on ours,” he said. “The boys are locked in — tactically, mentally, and physically. We’ve studied them, we’ve drilled our plan, and we’ll step onto that pitch ready to give our best football.”

Young Gunners have been one of the standout teams in the competition, boasting an impressive record from the group stages.
The team scored six goals, conceded just once, and secured maximum nine points from three matches, remaining unbeaten heading into the final.
Despite their strong form, the coach remains grounded about their chances. “Form counts, but finals are about who wants it more on the day,” he noted.
“Our group stage showed what Young Gunners can do. If we maintain that same hunger and discipline, I believe we can emerge as champions.”
The coach also praised the impact of the camping program, highlighting its role in the team’s development.
“The camp has been excellent. It gave us structure, bonding, and sharpness. You can see the results in our performances. It built the foundation for this final, and the boys have grown in confidence and chemistry.”
Looking beyond the tournament, Samson Jeffrey Praise called on sports authorities to continue investing in grassroots football.
“Grassroots is the future. Keep supporting initiatives like this with good facilities, qualified coaches, and regular competitions. That’s how you discover and develop the next generation of stars,” he said.
The highly anticipated final is set to take place on April 26, 2026, at Nawarudeen Primary School Playing Ground, where Young Gunners will look to cap off their impressive campaign with a championship victory.
