Felix Nmecha May Have To Stick With Borussia Dortmund Until 2030

Nigerian-born German international, Felix Nmecha has been with stunning information that he may have to stay put at Borussia Dortmund until the year 2030, based on terms in his current contract.

Sports247 gathered that, in contrast with expectations that Nmecha could ride on his strides with Germany at the ongoing FIFA World Cup for him to get summer transfer, his targets run contrary with those of his club.

The development has created a huge clog in the wheel for the 25-year-old Nmecha, who has received keen summer transfer attention from Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool, following his impressive performances for club and country.

United are said to be stepping up their pursuit of Nmecha, while Real Madrid of Spain have also reportedly been keeping tabs on his situation at Dortmund, where the in-form midfielder committed his long-term future to the Bundesliga outfit with terms of new contract earlier this year.

A report by Sky Sports adds, “The Red Devils have opened discussions over a potential move, with head of scouting Christopher Vivell maintaining close contact with the player’s representatives.

“United are keen to strengthen their midfield options and view Nmecha as a key target ahead of the new season, but Dortmund are in a strong negotiating position after tying the former Manchester City academy graduate to a new contract until 2030.”
