FCT FA Suspends Electoral Processes

The Board of the FCT Football Association has suspended all processes leading to the Association’s election slated for Monday February 11.

 

In a circular to the all the aspirants and football stakeholders in the Capital city, the Acting Secretary of the FA, Usman Haruna Ilerika said the suspension is accordance with directives of the NFF Executive Board that all FA elections be suspended with immediate effect. The NFF had cited the problems been evisaged in some states and the general election holding in February as the reason behind the suspension.

In the circular to the Aspirants, the FCT FA scribe said, “Our Dear aspirant for 2019 FCTFA Election, I am directed to inform you that the Nigeria Football Federation has suspended all electoral process for the forth coming FA’s election nation wide, all matters concerning election should be put on hold pending further directive from the Board of FCT FA.”

18 candidates for the various positions in the FCT FA, went through a two day screening exercise last weekend in readiness for the election, which the results for the successful candidates in the screening was expected on Tuesday.
