FC Bethel Striker Nwanna Okechukwu Targets Fusion Football Championship Scoring Title, Speaks On Norway Adventure In 2019

FC Bethel Int’l returned to winning ways in the 2021 Fusion Football Championship on Saturday with an impressive 2-0 win over rivals Ajuwa FC.

A brace from Nwanna Okechukwu decided the game in FC Bethel Int’l’s favor. The striker now has three goals in the Fusion Championship this campaign while FC Bethel sits in the second position on the log with 16 points from seven matches.

“It was a big loss for us in the last game. Actually, I did not play in that game due to some health issues,” Okechukwu told Sports247 after the game. “We had a very good impact in the game. And our target is to beat the league holders so that we can be in the top position. Our target as a team is to be at the of the league at the end of the season.”

Okechukwu also revealed his personal target in the league, saying he wants to end the season as the league’s top scorer.

The prolific forward had some time to speak on his venture into Europe two years ago when an unfortunate injury scuppered his move.

“I am supposed to be in Norway. That was in 2019 but due to injury, I couldn’t make it there. But the target for me still remains to go to Europe.”
