Twenty-four-year-old fashion designer Tairu Razaq stole the spotlight at the 15th edition of the Ogun Boxing Hall of Fame after emerging champion of the heavyweight category in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Razaq delivered a commanding performance against Talabi Samuel, earning a unanimous decision victory after dominating all three rounds of the bout held at the Alake Sports Complex in Ijeja, Abeokuta.
The young boxer, who combines his sporting career with fashion designing, displayed confidence, strength, and tactical discipline throughout the contest, controlling the pace from the opening bell to secure one of the competition’s biggest victories.
His triumph quickly became one of the major talking points of the tournament, as spectators applauded both his resilience and determination inside the ring. Razaq’s performance highlighted the growing depth of boxing talent emerging from Ogun State and reinforced his reputation as one of the promising fighters to watch in the heavyweight division.
