Lagos football fans have expressed their worry and dissatisfaction over the delay of WGB Lagos Sate Challenge Cup.
The finalists have been emerged last Thursday and the fans expected the organisers to fix the date and venue for the finals but at this moment the Lagos FA board members are yet to issue a statement as regards to the finals.
Some of the fans who spoke to sports247.ng on phone expressed their dissatisfaction over the delay of the Lagos FA Cup finals.
While some fans believed that the finals date ought to have fixed before the finalists emerged.
“I called you Mr journalist to confirm when the finals would be played because we want to know the date,time and venue for the finals,”said a fan who refused to mention his name.
Another football fan called Kunle told our correspondent that the finals should not be delayed for long and blamed the organisers for delaying the final ceremony.
“If you see FA Cup in England and other part of the world,their FA Cups always fix the day they start the competition but in Nigeria we still need to wait for a long time before the finals be fixed,”he said.
A Lagos based football coach who refused to mention his name urged the organisers to fix the date as soon as possible saying that thousand of fans are willing to watch the finals.
In a chat with chairman technical committee of Lagos FA, Dotun Coker assured the fans that the final would be played saying that they are making solid arrangements to make this year’s finals a memorable one.
“Tell the fans that they should not worry for the delay.We are putting things in place because we want this year’s finals to be a colourful and memorable one.Immediately we are through,we would announce the date, venue and time” he affirmed.
Meanwhile Ottasolo would face Dannaz in male final,while FC Robo Queens battle Dannaz Ladies in the female category.
