Nigeria’s female youth national team, Falconets’ coach, Moses Aduku has taken a very optimistic stand ahead of his side’s opening match at this year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, as he declared that the players are ready to battle Spain on Monday.
Sports247 reports that Aduku spoke against the backdrop of two build-up games his side had during their pre-competition training camp and, though he admitted there were still some loose points to fill, the former youth international enthused that all is well.

After defeating hosts Poland 1-0 in their first match, the Falconets played a 1-1 draw with South Korea on Tuesday, following which they relicatrd from their build-up camp to their competition base in Katowice, with great expectations for a glorious outing at Poland 2026.
Heading into Monday’s first group match, Aduku said everything is on course and there are no injury concerns in his squad, as he assured that his players are ready for their opening fixture in Group F against Spain.
He acknowledged further that both matches in Trzebnica gave the technical crew opportunities to assess the team against different types of opposition, while helpiing the players adapt to the weather, pace, intensity and challenges expected during the World Cup.
“So far, so good. We are done with our friendly games. For me, we are good. No injury worries. My girls are ready,” Aduku said, as he prepares his squad to battle Spain in Katowice on Monday, then face China in Sosnowiec on Thursday and take on New Caledonia upper Sunday in Łódź.
