Super Falcons goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor is ready for a fresh challenge in England after completing a two-year move to Crystal Palace Women, a transfer she believes can take her career to another level.
The Nigeria international joined the Women’s Super League side from Portsmouth, where she made six appearances during the 2025/26 season.

Crystal Palace officially confirmed the deal on September 3, handing the young goalkeeper a new opportunity to establish herself in one of the most competitive women’s leagues in Europe.
For Erhabor, the move is about more than changing clubs. It represents an opportunity to compete at a higher level, learn from experienced players and continue building towards her ambition of becoming a top-level goalkeeper.
“It feels really good to be here. I’m very excited to get started. I’m aspiring to play at the highest level, so this is a really big step in my career.”
Crystal Palace manager Jo Potter has also welcomed the Nigerian goalkeeper, describing Erhabor as a promising young player and expressing the club’s excitement about having her in the squad.
The move represents another important stage in a career that has already taken Erhabor through several levels of English and Scottish women’s football.
Born in the Netherlands and raised in England, Erhabor developed through the Brighton & Hove Albion Academy, before gaining senior experience during loan spells with Hibernian and Plymouth Argyle. She subsequently joined Portsmouth in July 2025.
Her international journey has followed a similar upward trajectory.
Despite being born and raised outside Nigeria, Erhabor chose to represent the Super Falcons and made her senior international debut in February 2026 against Cameroon.
She was subsequently included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Although she did not feature during the tournament, being part of the Falcons setup gave the young goalkeeper another opportunity to experience the demands of international football.
Now, the Crystal Palace move gives her another platform to continue that development.
The timing is also significant for the Super Falcons, who are looking to rebuild after their disappointing 2026 WAFCON campaign ended with a quarter-final defeat to eventual champions Cameroon and saw Nigeria miss out on qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
With established goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie continuing to occupy a leading position in the national-team setup,
Erhabor’s regular exposure at club level could become increasingly important as Nigeria looks towards the next generation.
Her arrival also adds another Nigerian presence to the English women’s game, following the recent moves of other Super Falcons players to WSL clubs.
For Erhabor, however, the immediate task is simple: settle in, compete and earn her opportunity.
From Brighton to Hibernian, Plymouth and Portsmouth, the journey has prepared Comfort Erhabor for another challenge.
Now, with Crystal Palace, the Super Falcons goalkeeper has her biggest English test yet.
