As preparations intensify for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, Enyimba International FC has officially announced Friday, June 20, 2025, as the team’s resumption date.
The announcement comes following the confirmation of August 22, 2025, as the official kick-off date for the new NPFL campaign. According to a statement issued to Enyimba Media by the club’s Sporting Director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, both returning and newly signed players are expected to report for duty without fail.

“All players—old and new—are by this notice urged to ensure their availability. It’s an important period in our preseason plans,” Ekwueme emphasized.
Club officials and other essential staff have also been directed to comply with the resumption schedule, with activities set to begin at 7:30am at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
This early return underlines the club’s commitment to a strong start and thorough preparation as the People’s Elephant eye a title push in the coming NPFL season.
