Representatives of the 25-year-old have started the process of holding transfer talks with potential interested parties as he is understood to be comfortable with the option of a departure if the right opportunity comes.

Although the EPL club are yet to receive an official offer for the striker, it is reported that they are open to discussions over an exit.

Forest signed Dennis from Watford last summer for a fee in the region of £15million on a four-year contract following the Hornets relegation.

If a move pull through, the Championship club will receive a sell-on percentage as agreed in his contract.

Dennis was among 22 players brought in by the club following promotion to the Premier League in 2021-22.

He failed to make a significant impact, scoring two goals in 19 Premier League appearances. Both came at the City Ground in matches against Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Dennis is said to be keen to remain in Europe and at this stage is not contemplating a move to the Saudi Pro League.
