Ebuehi Receives Fitness Aid From Eagles’ Crew

Benfica of Portugal defender, Tyronne Ebuehi is receiving expert support from the Super Eagles’ crew in his efforts to get back to full fitness, after a spate out with injury, sports247.ng has gathered.

Ebuehi was injured before he could start making waves in Portgual, on his arrival from ADO Den Haag of Holland in the summer, but his efforts at returning to action in January is now being supported by the Eagles’ fitness trainers.

This much has been revealed by Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr, who said Ebuehi is in his plans toward the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ebuehi, who suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee in pre-season, is expdected back on January 29th, which Rohr believes would give the right-back ample time to play himself into contention for AFCON 2019.

With that in view, Rohr says the Eagles’ crew will support Ebuehi in much the same way they did for Elche of Spain goalkeeper, Francis Odinaka Uzoho before the World Cup.

Back then, Rohr sent Eagles’ keepers’ trainer, Enrico Pionetti to work in with Uzoho, who was then with Deportivo La Coruña, and the Franco-German gaffer says Ebuehi is now enjoying the same attention.

Rohr expatiated: ”We have Tyronne Ebuehi, who is coming back from injury, we sent a coach to work with him.

”We did it with Uzoho when he wasn’t playing for Deportivo before the World Cup. Sometimes, our players need individual coaching.

”We need to get another physical coach not only to work when we are in camp, but also to go to the clubs and work with players who need help. ”
