Super Falcons alternate captain, Onome Ebi has disclosed that she and her colleagues in the Nigerian female national team are all determined to win the 11th Africa Women Cup of Nations on Saturday.
Sports247.ng can report that Ebi cast her thoughts ahead of the AWCON 2018 final against South Africa at Accra Sports Centre, and declared that the Falcons want to win a third straight title and ninth overall.
She affirmed that the strong zeal for glory on the continental level once again has informed their total commitment to training and good attitude in camp, which she believes will help them carry the day.
Although South Africa won the first clash between both sides during the group stage of this year’s competition, Ebi said that is in the past and is of a view that the Falcons will right all wrongs on Saturday.
Having already sealed a ticket to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, there could be a tendency for the players to relax, but Ebi assured that they will not rest on their oars, as they want more success.
Ebi said: “We have the World Cup ticket now, which was always our first target here.
“The second is winning the Cup for a third successive time and ninth time overall. It is a mission we are determined to accomplish.”
