The Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe has congratulated Enyimba on their CAF Confederation Cup victory over their Nigerian neighbors, Rivers United.
Egbe in a statement said The People’s Elephant have shown that they remain the country’s best soccer outfit.
“I congratulate Enyimba on the victory over Rivers United and their subsequent qualification for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup. The victory shows that Enyimba remains the country’s best soccer outfit.
They have sound management led by Anyansi Agwu, a technical crew that is hardworking and quality players as well as a world-class playing surface which all visitors to Aba have commended. I see the club going all the way this term to lift the CAF Confederation Cup and doing the country proud as they did in 2003 and 2004 when they won the CAF Champions League back to back,” Egbe stated.
Enyimba on Sunday in Portharcourt romped into the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after beating Rivers United 5-4 on penalties. The match went into the lottery of penalties after the first and the second leg stood at 1-1 on aggregate.
