Eastwood Hails Island All Stars’ Super Cup Triumph After 3–0 Victory

Head coach Ofoje Charles Eastwood has praised his players’ discipline and winning mentality after Island All Stars International Sports Club defeated Team Lugna Properties 3–0 to lift the Super Cup title at Lagos Business School.

Island All Stars delivered a commanding performance to overcome the Werblack Wine Synergy Cup champions, extending their impressive unbeaten run and maintaining a perfect record in Super Cup appearances.

Reacting after the final whistle, Eastwood credited the team’s consistency and tactical discipline for the emphatic result.

“Our unbeaten record always gives us confidence. We have won every Super Cup we’ve competed in,” he said. “I’m excited to have won against Coach Amaraegbu Shepherd. My players obeyed instructions — pass across, stay compact — and that was the main reason we stayed ahead throughout the game.”

Eastwood also addressed Chubuike’s penalty miss during the encounter, offering strong backing to his forward.

“Sometimes the best players miss penalties. He was forgiven even before he went on to score a brace,” the coach remarked.

He described the victory as a collective achievement for the entire club community. “It’s an equal celebration within Island All Stars International Sports Club. Together we do great things — that’s our slogan.”

Looking ahead, Eastwood emphasized the need for continued tactical discipline and thorough internal evaluation to sustain the club’s winning momentum.
