Eagles Supporters Club Crises Irreconcilable – Pinnick

President, Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has stated that the crises rocking the two factions of the Super Eagles Supporters club are irreconcilable, BSN Sports reports.

Pinnick who said he had no preferred group but admitted working with Okumagba faction because they coordinate themselves and support the national team genuinely, said he had tried to broker peace between them but to no avail.

“When I came into the office in the first tenure, I did everything humanly, materially, and spiritually possible to bring them together but they are like two parallel lines. So, I know that these are differences that are Irreconcilable and I don’t want that to affect our national team, so we decide who we wish to work with.

“I don’t have any preferred group but we support the one that have been supportive genuinely, so if they make any request we will also support them,” Pinnick said.

He added that he has respect for Dr. Rafiu Ladipo for his support and years of experience in the field.

“Honestly, we respect, love and regard Dr Rafiu Ladipo for supporting the team for a very long time.”

There has been disgruntled members of the supporters before the infamous elections in 2016 that saw Okumagba faction split from Rafiu Ladipo led Supporters club.
