Eagles Abroad: Ujah destroys Frankfurt, Collins on the verge of Bundesliga promotion

Super Eagles striker Anthony Ujah scored twice for Mainz in their 2-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt at Commerzbank-Arena on Sunday.

Ujah who had his first start for Mainz since March 9, fired in the opener for his side in the 53rd minute, before adding the second four minutes later.

The goals ended Ujah’s 18-game goal drought in the Bundesliga and put a dent on Eintracht Frankfurt’s hopes of securing a top-four berth.

Mainz 05 will host Hoffenheim in their final league game of the season on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Jamilu Collins’ SC Paderborn are on the verge of an automatic Bundesliga promotion following an easy 4-1 home win against Hamburg at the Benteler-Arena on Sunday.

Paderborn are second on the table with 57 points from 33 matches – going into the final game of the season next weekend.

Steffen Baumgart’s men will travel to Dynamo Dresden for their final game where a win will ensure promotion to the Bundesliga.

Collins has featured in all of Paderborn’s 33 league matches this season but he is yet to find the back of the net.
