Sports247 reports that Umar gave the charge while speaking during the grand finale of a week-long invitational golf competition organised by Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) in Warri, Delta State.
Umar, who also participated in the final, pointed out that the competition was a strong platform to further strengthen existing collaborations that continue growing between NUPRC and various stakeholders in the oil and gas industry.
He further noted that the competition, which was hosted at Ogunu Golf Resort, brought together key stakeholders from the oil and gas industry to unwind in an exciting environment that promoted institutional ties through healthy competition.
The ACE added that his physical presence at the venue not only underscored the importance of renewed synergy and collaborative framework between NMDPRA and NUPRC, but also highlighted the values of exercise to boost healthy living.
“The tournament is very good. It is for collaboration, relaxation and sharing of ideas outside the formal office setting. I will advise everybody to register and know how to play golf,” Umar posited.
NUPRC commission chief executive, Mrs Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan reiterated that the competition’s objectives went beyond just golf, adding: “It provides a vital, informal avenue for regulatory and corporate leaders to exchange ideas, foster partnerships and build camaraderie.”
