Dele Alli Allegedly Loses £25,000-per-night In Late Night Gambling Spree

Former Tottenham Hotspur of England dazzler, Bamidele ‘Dele’ Alli has been cited in a controversial gambling spree that costs him at least £25,000-per-night, even as he tries to get his career back on track, Sports247 gathered.

The Nigerian-born former England international is still desperately hunting around for a new club, after he was released by Como of Italy at the start of this season, but his search is not yielding results.

A report by UK’s Daily Mail revealed that Alli lost almost £150,000 in a spree of poker sessions that ran into 2am at The Victoria Casino in central London, where he repeatedly racked up losses of £25,000-a-night.

The report adds, “(Alli, who was) once valued at over £50m and earning £150,000-a-week is still only 29 but is without a club, after his career went into steep decline and is back in London after being released by Como in September.

“A poker veteran told the Daily Mail that Alli’s losses have been so extreme that he has begun to be described by other casino regulars as a ‘whale’ – poker slang for a player who is not very skilled but loses large amounts.

“While he continues his search for a new club, Alli has also been heading to the late-night gambling hub – and losing much more than he wins.”
