Danjuma Tips Oshoala To Start Raining AWCON Goals

Youth female national team, Falconets coach, Christopher Danjuma has declared that China-based attacker, Asisat Oshoala will soon start raining goals at the ongoing Africa Women Championship in Ghana.

Danjuma acknowledged that Oshoala has struggled in front of goal at the 2018 AWCON, but told sports247.ng that he believes the often reliable striker will start to deliver.

The Nasarawa United of Lafia handler spoke after Oshoala, who has also played for Arsenal and Liverpool of England, missed several chances in Nigeria’s 4-0 walloping of Zambia in their second group B match.

However, rather than write ‘Super Dee’ off, Danjuma said Oshoala will put the blight of Sunday and Wednesday behind her to start raining goals from Saturday’s third match against Equatorial Guinea.

He declared emphatically: “Her overall performance wasn’t at all bad; as she was involved in three of the goals scored.

“It is important to keep her on the pitch and help build her confidence as she’s certain to come good. She is a good striker.”
