Nigerian sprinter Lucky Daje 🇳🇬 delivered another encouraging performance in his freshman indoor season, clocking a new personal best of 6.75s in the men’s 60m at the Orange & Purple Invitational.
Representing the University of South Carolina, Daje showed steady progression through the rounds.

He opened his campaign with 6.78s in the heats, comfortably securing qualification, before raising his level in the semifinals where his 6.75s PB earned him a place in the final.
The final, however, ended in disappointment for the Nigerian after a false start brought his race to an abrupt end. Despite the setback, Daje’s overall performance stood out as a major positive, highlighting his growing confidence and speed against strong collegiate competition.
The outing marks another significant step forward for the young sprinter, underlining his potential as one to watch as the indoor season continues.
