The country’s representatives at this year’s Africa Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Egypt, Nigeria Customs Service as well as Vipers & Partners have received blessings from their governing federation, Sports247 reports.

The shower of blessings came from the president of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod during a ceremony to formally present both female clubs publicly as the country’s representatives for the competition.
Nimrod assured that both teams have been fully equipped and motivated to face Africa’s elite women’s volleyball sides, in what he described as another milestone in Nigeria’s growing reputation on the continental scene.
He expressed satisfaction that the country continues to show its competitiveness and rising influence under the banner of Confederation of African Volleyball, which reflects the expanding talent base within Nigeria.
While affirming the increasing impact of grassroots development and private-sector investment in the sport, Nimrod also pointed out that securing spots at the prestigious championship highlights the fervid ambition of both clubs.
He noted that Nigeria Customs head into the championship with a balanced squad rich in experience and tactical depth, which make them one of the most formidable teams in the country.
Similarly, Vipers & Partners represent the new wave of Nigerian volleyball excellence; hence the expectation that they will bring innovative zeal and fresh ambition to bear in their quest for continental honour.
The NVBF boss declared, “We are proud of both Nigeria Customs and Vipers & Partners for earning the right to represent our great nation.
“Their preparation, commitment, and professionalism have been commendable. We are confident they will compete strongly and showcase the true spirit of Nigerian volleyball.”
