CCL 2020/21: We Have Started Scoring But Unlucky Against Igamnu Fc- Coach Abdulfatai Abdulwahab Laments His Side Disappointing 3-3 Draw

Coach of Imperial Fc, Abdulfatai Abdulwahab has lamented his side’s disappointing 3-3 draw against Igamnu Fc in match week 6 of the ongoing Creative Championship League.

Imperial Fc played out a fascinating 3-3 draw against Igamnu Fc today at the Soccer Temple Stadium in Agege, Lagos State, despite taking the lead twice in the encounter.

Reacting after the game with Sports 247, Coach of Imperial Fc, Abdulfatai Abdulwahab has lamented about the outcome of the game, stating that his side was unfortunate coming out of the game with just a point, despite taking the lead twice in the game. He also admitted that his side will continue to strive hard to earn their first win of the tournament as they will continue to play beautiful football which is always their style of play, regardless of the pressure being put on them to mark their first win.

“We are very sorry for the disappointments today, despite taking the lead twice in the game, we planned to do different things in the game, and it really worked out for us. As you can see, we scored within the 12th seconds of the game. Our plan was to score more goals in the game, but unfortunately, we lost focus and concentration and then conceded the goals. I had to talk to the boys to regain their focus and concentration, which they did and we scored the equalizing goal in the 90th minute of the game.”

The one point is not good enough for us because we intend to pick up all three points, so as to enable us to get our first win of the tournament, but we drew, which is not good enough. We are just unfortunate today”, he admitted.

Following the draw today, Imperial Fc remained bottom on the Creative Championship League table with 2 points, as they continue to search for their first win of the tournament.
