Portsmouth of England fast-rising goalkeeper, Comfort Erhabor has arrived at the camp of Nigeria’s female national team, Super Falcons, with an aura of piety based on her highly-publicised ‘love for Jesus,’ as seen in her previous posts on social media.

Sports247 reports that Erhabor’s pious values will boost the deeply religious posture of the team’s captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, who is a strong Christian, despite her Muslim name, and her deep devotion to Jesus Christ is seen as a huge motivation behind the Falcons’ recent succeses.
The Falcons are now bound to have a double dose of born-again values propelling them, following Erhabor’s arrival at their build-up camp in Casablanca, Morocco, where the team is intensifying preparations for this year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The 20-year-old shot-stopper will now settle down among the 25 players Falcons’ coach, Justine Madugu is banking on to aid his search for a record-extending 11th WAFCON title for Nigeria, who start their title defence against Malawi on July 28th, after which they will play Zambia and then Egypt.
This marks her first invitation for a major tournament with the Nigerian senior women’s national team, with high hope of playing some part in the continental showcase scheduled to take place in Morocco from July 26th to August 16th.
Erhabor arrived at the Falcons’ camp along with Toni Payne and Rinsola Babajide, who were also born in Europe, but are also looking forward to heroics at Morocco 2026.
Erhabor, who was previously involved with Nigeria’s under-17 women’s side, Flamingos, plus stints at club level in England at West Ham United and Brighton, previously celebrated her maiden Falcons’ invitation with a post on X which read: “An honour to have received my first senior call up, thank you Jesus.”
Sports247 gathered that Comfort Chibuzo Erhabor was born on April 26th, 2005 in the Netherlands to Nigerian parents who hail from Edo State but she was raised in England, where the lass trained at West Ham’s academy before signing her first professional contract with Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2024.
She was subsequently loaned to Hibernian and later Plymouth Argyle for the next two seasons, then signed for Portsmouth in July 2025, on a year’s deal with the possibility of an extension – a year before she debutted for Nigeria in a 1-0 friendly loss to Cameroon in Yaoundé on February 28.
