Remo Stars delivered an impressive display, securing a convincing win, and Coach Ogunmodede couldn’t hide his satisfaction. Reflecting on the match, he commented, “We had one of the best moments of the game in this match, scoring four goals this season at home. This is a team that came here last season to give us a lot of problems and we know how difficult they could be.”

“They are a team that can run for another 200 minutes, but We are lucky to break the deadlock. This is very important for us. It makes us build a lot of confidence. We have the confidence to dominate every moment of the game. We are able to keep the ball, we are able to be patient.”

“At the end, we go to what we needed, a maximum of three points. Imagine it’s a difficult week for almost every team at home. This is a valuable point for us.”

The coach praised the individual performances that stood out during the match. Dayo Ojo’s impressive performance in midfield, Sikuru Alimi’s clinical finishing resulting in two goals, and Frant Mawuena’s exceptional hold-up play all earned recognition.

When asked about the aspects of the game that impressed him the most, Coach Ogunmodede pointed to the successful execution of strategies practiced in training, expressing his joy as a coach.

How You Can Get a Chance To Become a Millionaire

“The most impressive moment is some of the things we practice that come to pass. For me, this is my joy as a coach. I’m not surprised with their performance because I know what these boys can do. I know what these players can do.”

“For Alimi, I was expecting him to get a hat-trick to be at the end. Unfortunately, he couldn’t. For sure, I know he’s going to score. For Dayo, I know he’s going to control the midfield, Mawuena held up play fantastically, He did that very well.

Almost all of them had a wonderful day except for one or two, maybe it was their first time of playing this season and you wouldn’t compare match fitness with training fitness. But in all, as a team, I think I give kudos to the boys.”

Looking ahead to their next fixture, an away game against Akwa United, Coach Ogunmodede displayed respect for his friend and former manager of Remo Stars, Fatai Osho.

In a thoughtful approach, “For now, with a lot of respect for him, I wouldn’t like to talk about this game for now. I keep this to myself because I wouldn’t want to shoot him to another pressure in limelight. For now, I would like to not talk so much about this game.”

Remo Stars’ commanding victory and Coach Ogunmodede’s measured response underscore the team’s determination to succeed in the league.

Their collective effort, individual brilliance, and meticulous preparation make them a formidable force to reckon with. As they brace for their forthcoming challenges, fans can look forward to an exciting and competitive season for Remo Stars.
