More accolades are rolling in for Coach Muniru Abdulazeez (aka Sabo Keegan), following his conquest of the maiden Nigerian National League (NNL) pre-season competition, Sports247 reports.
The latest shower of praise on ‘Coach Sabo’ has come from former handler of the under-20 national team, Aliyu Zubairu, who remembered the wonderful time they had together at El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.
Zubairu noted that ‘Coach Sabo,’ who also took DMD FC of Abuja in promotion to the NNL, was only recently unveiled by Gombe United and he has quickly started off on a winning note to show signs of glorious days ahead for the team under his charge.
While taking note of his friend’s early success with Gombe at the competition in Jos, Zubairu described Sabo as an experienced coach whom he enjoyed working with during their time together at El-Kanemi Warriors.
Zubairu stated, “I want to congratulate my senior brother, Coach Sabo, for winning the NNL Pre-season Competition. He is an experienced coach who can deliver at any club.
“Coach Sabo was the chief coach of El-Kanemi Warriors FC while I was the technical adviser. We worked together for the progress and success of the club. I am happy to see him taking on another challenge and experiencing success somewhere else.”
Sports247 reports further that Zubairu also described Sabo’s achievement as another reward for his long years of experience, dedication and ability in the gaffer’s profession.
