Chukwueze Ruled Out Of Newcastle Clash As Fulham Injury Woes Deepen

Fulham will once again be without Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze when they travel to face Newcastle United in this weekend’s Premier League encounter at St James’ Park.

Manager Marco Silva confirmed during his pre-match press conference that Chukwueze remains sidelined with a calf injury, extending his spell on the treatment table after missing last weekend’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal.

The 25-year-old, who joined Fulham in the summer, picked up the injury while on international duty with Nigeria during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and has yet to regain full fitness.

Silva also revealed that Antonee Robinson and Rodrigo Muniz will remain unavailable, while Joachim Andersen and Harry Wilson have joined the growing injury list.

“Some good news, or fresh news. Others not so good, unfortunately for us,” Silva said. “Joachim Andersen has a muscle injury — not too serious — but he’ll miss the Newcastle game. Antonee Robinson neither, and Chukwueze still out, Rodrigo out.”

Despite the setbacks, the Portuguese boss expressed optimism over Kenny Tete, who featured on the bench against Arsenal and could return to action this weekend.

Fulham, currently sitting mid-table, will be looking to bounce back from their narrow defeat at the Emirates and secure a positive result against Eddie Howe’s side.
