Chukwueze Returns from Injury, Boosts Fulham and Nigeria Ahead of Key Fixtures

Fulham winger Samuel Chukwueze has handed both his club and country a timely boost after returning to full training following a brief injury setback suffered during Nigeria’s recent international break.

The 25-year-old trained with the Fulham first team for the first time since the break and has been declared fit and available for selection ahead of the Cottagers’ home clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, head coach Marco Silva confirmed.

Chukwueze’s return is not only a relief for Fulham, who have missed his pace and creativity on the flanks, but also for Nigeria coach Eric Chelle, who is set to announce his Super Eagles squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying playoffs in the coming days.

Chelle will be encouraged by the winger’s early recovery, as Chukwueze remains a key part of Nigeria’s attacking setup. His availability could prove crucial as the Super Eagles look to secure their place on the road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Having recently joined Fulham from AC Milan, Chukwueze will now be eager to regain full match sharpness and continue his integration into Marco Silva’s system—starting with a potential return to action against Wolves.
