Chioma Cynthia Nweke Leads Nigerian 1-2 Finish to Clinch U20 Women’s 100m Gold in Abeokuta

Nigeria’s sprint dominance was once again on display at the African U18 & U20 Athletics Championships in Abeokuta, as Chioma Cynthia Nweke stormed to victory in the U20 women’s 100m final, securing the gold medal in 11.65s (-1.9 m/s).

Nweke held her nerve in a tightly contested race, leading a sensational Nigerian 1-2 finish with teammate Success Oyibu claiming silver.
