Coach of Depros Fc, Chukwuemeka Ubaka has hailed his players, most especially the performance of the goalscorer, Umar Abubakar in their MatchDay two (2) 1-0 victory against Chekas United Fc in the ongoing Champions Cup tournament.
Depros Fc who played out a 1-1 draw against Dannaz Fc in their opening Match Day fixture, defeated Chekas United Fc 1-0 in their Match Day 2 fixture, with Abubakar scoring the only goal of the encounter.
In an interview with Sports247 after the game, Coach of Depros Fc took some time out to hail and praise his players for their superb display in the match, most especially the goalscorer on the day, Abubakar, whom he described as his “Greatest Striker Ever”.
“I thank God for everything and I am very very proud of my players because they really tried and they really did something that made everybody in the stadium very happy. If they continue playing like this, by the Grace of God, we are going to the final and lifting the cup”.
“Abubakar is my greatest striker ever. Every match, the guy must give a goal, even in the training. If you want to give him another name, the name that you will give him is ‘Goal’, because he likes to score in every game. I pray that God lifts him up in everything he does so that the whole world would know him”, he said.
The experienced gaffer, whose team is now on 4 points also added that he targets victory in Thursday MatchDay 3 encounter in the Champions Cup tournament, so as to boost their qualification hopes, as well as also commending the tournament’s organizers for a job well done.
“I am targeting a win in the next match so that I will be in 7 points, as we wait for other teams to play. All my believe is a win our next match, we need to qualify with a win on Thursday”.he said.
“The man that has the vision to organize this tournament, may God bless him, because it is not easy to call people out. To deal with humans in Life is very very difficult. May God bless all the organizers of this competition for a good job so far. We need more people in Nigeria to help to make sure that Nigerian players come out and are known to people in the world”, he added.
In other matches played yesterday in Match Day 2 of the Champions Cup tournament, Dannaz Fc defeated Team360 Fc 1-0 (Emmanuel Precious scoring the only goal for Dannaz Fc in the 6th minute of the game), Soccer Cardinals Fc defeated Utility Sports Fc 2-0 (Falomomi Oluwagbemiga and Jesudusin with the goals for Soccer Cardinals Fc), while MS Success Fc and G12 Fc played out a barren draw (0-0).
Match Day 3 matches of the Champions Cup tournament is set to be played on Thursday. This is to grant all teams in the competition a rest day.
