Rivers United’s delegation to Saturday’s CAF Confederation’s cup preliminary round 1st leg match against Futuro Kings arrived in Mongomo on Friday afternoon aboard a chartered flight that flew the team from Port Harcourt to Malabo and after an hour flight from the International Airport in Malabo to the City of Mongomo.
The chartered aircraft touched down at the airport in Malabo at 07:12 am local time, before connecting a flight to Mongomo which lasted for 60 minutes.
Coach Stanley Eguma and his technical team lead a total of 20 players and the backroom staff.
The “Pride of Rivers are due to have their official training at the Estadio de Mongomo Stadium (the venue of Saturday’s match) at 3:30 pm.
Saturday’s match will kick off at 3:30 pm local time (4 pm Nigeria time).
