Rivers United center back Lawrence Edward spoke to the team’s media on departure to Brazzaville Congo.
He spoke concerning the atmosphere in the camp and the edge experience gives to ensuring the team put up a decent showing in Congo.
“There’s motivation in the team after our last game, we are going there all out for the maximum three points,” he began.
“From the look of things, the boys are energized to go there and do better and not settle for less.”
On his experience playing a major role to thier performance, “the CAF Confederation tournament needs experience with a mix of young players to balance the team, so with my experience and the few guys in the team in Chiamaka, Dennis, we can push the young ones and get the desired result,” Edward stated.
“So it’s a plus, the young ones and the experienced players in the team.”
