C2E Sports Academy produced a remarkable comeback at Enyimba Stadium, Aba, on Friday to secure their place in the final of the NWFL Nationwide 2026 competition after defeating Kwara United Queens 4-2 in a thrilling semi-final encounter.
Sports247 reports that the match got off to a blistering start, with Kwara United Queens taking the lead as early as the third minute. Oluwabunkunmi Azeez capitalised on the early opportunity to put Kwara United ahead and give her side a perfect start.

C2E Sports Academy struggled to find an immediate response as Kwara United maintained their advantage, but the academy side continued to push forward in search of an equaliser.
Their persistence finally paid off just before the interval when Omobolanle Abdulganiu inadvertently turned the ball into her own net in the 45+ minute, allowing C2E Sports Academy to level the scores at 1-1 going into the break.
Kwara United Queens regained the lead shortly after the restart when Amarachi Nnorom struck in the 47th minute to make it 2-1 and put C2E under renewed pressure.
However, the response from C2E Sports Academy was emphatic. Chidinma Gideon restored parity in the 52nd minute, setting up a dramatic final phase to the contest.
C2E then completed their turnaround in the 74th minute when Taiwo Omoniyi scored an own goal to hand the academy side a 3-2 advantage.
With Kwara United pushing for another equaliser, C2E remained composed and eventually sealed the victory in the 87th minute through Agnes Ohuche, whose late strike completed a stunning 4-2 comeback.
The victory means C2E Sports Academy become the first team to book a place in the NWFL Nationwide 2026 final, with their impressive attacking record once again proving decisive.
C2E have been particularly prolific throughout the competition, scoring 19 goals in just three matches, 10-1 smashing off Bayelsa Princesses and 5-0 victory against Lakeside Queens underlining their consistency and attacking strength from the group stage through the knockout rounds.
From falling behind twice to producing a four-goal response, C2E Sports Academy have demonstrated resilience, determination and serious championship credentials as they march into the final at Enyimba Stadium, Aba.
