Breaking news: This is my last season with Rivers Angel – Evelyn Nwauoku

The National team captain, Nwauoku has described herself so lucky to be the captain that led Rivers Angel to a narrow victory over Confluence Queen in the finals of the just concluded Super 4 edging the Kogi ladies 1-0 thanks to a Cecilia Nku’s clinical spot kick at the soccer temple, Agege.

Having previously played for BIIK Kazygurt in the Kazakhstani Women’s Football Championship and Bayelsa queens, she has finally decided to end her illustrious career with the Super 4 2019 winners.

I have played with a lot of wonderful player, Chiamaka Nnadoezie for me is one of the very best goal keeper in the league, she is awesome, she kept us in the game on so many occasion with some brilliant saves. she has proved her worth even in international competitions recently in the women’s World Cup, Etim, Nku, Vivian have been so wonderful too. The trip to Spain will be another opportunity, it’s a result of our hard labor and we are happy to live the moment,I can look back and take some positives with me with this team, she concluded.
