BREAKING: Four Super Eagles players have been relegated from the Premier League

The Super Eagles quartet of Emmanuel Dennis, William Troost-Ekong, Oghenekaro Etebo and Samuel Kalu have all been relegated from the Premier League with Watford.

Watford were relegated from the Premier League on Saturday afternoon after a 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace. The Hornets were 12 points from safety heading into the match, and needed to win while hoping both Everton and Burnley lose their respective games.

However, a first-half penalty from Wilfred Zaha was enough to condemn Watford to their 25th defeat of the season. With only three games left in the season, they are now mathematically unable to avoid relegation.

Samuel Kalu and Oghenekaro Etebo were both unused substitutes while William Troost-Ekong was introduced in the second half for Samir Santos.

Emmanuel Dennis was on from the start but was later replaced by Adam Masina in the 73rd minute. Dennis is one of the few Watford players that can keep their heads up despite a difficult season. The winger is the club’s top scorer this season with 10 goals all coming in the league. He has also provided 6 assists, the most among his teammates.

Watford’s final three games of the season are against Everton, Leicester City, and Chelsea on May 22 to bring the season to a close.
