The West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) sophomore stormed to a personal best of 52.31s in the women’s 400m final, earning a well-deserved bronze medal in a fiercely contested race.
Her performance not only placed her on the podium but also marked a significant improvement in her personal record, signaling her growing prowess in the quarter-mile event.
Akintoye continued her fine form in the women’s 200m, where she clocked 23.47s to secure the silver medal. Her speed and composure in the sprint highlighted her versatility across multiple distances on the track.
Capping off a remarkable outing, Akintoye played a pivotal role in the women’s 4x100m relay, running a powerful third leg that helped propel the WTAMU squad to victory with a time of 44.91s.
