The Akwa Ibom State based football team Blessed Stars Football Academy (U-15) has today defeated the Akwa Ibom NWFL Premiership side Ibom Angels during a friendly game at home of Ibom Angels FC.
It can be recalled that early this year, Blessed Stars FC U-13 had a friendly match with Ibom Angels where they were leading by 1-0 but because of bad weather conditions that day the match was abruptly ended during the first half.
The match which began at exactly 11:17am kicked off with Blessed Stars FC boys dominating the game the whole First half. The Blessed Stars FC boys made its first attempt 10mins into the game but was saved by the Ibom Angels keeper.
Ibom Angels drew the first blood when its striker made a great nod straight into the net leading Blessed Stars in the first half. As the second half kicked off, the BSFA lads changed the pattern of play knocking the ball to the net to get 2 goals ahead of Ibom Angels. Blessed Stars FC left back Ekemini Okon netted the last goal for its team to make it 3.
Blessed Stars FC U-15 has maintained an unbeaten record with 6 wins and 1 draw.
Blessed Stars last week was awarded best Football team of the year in South South Nigeria by the Sports News Guide Magazine.
Ibom Angels have agreed upon a return match later this week.
