Biffo Unveils Cash Reward Initiative to Boost Kwara United, ABS FC Ahead of Weekend Fixtures

Former Kwara United Head Coach, Abdullahi Usman Biffo, has introduced a fresh incentive package aimed at motivating players of both Kwara United and ABS FC, with cash prizes set to take effect from this weekend’s matches.

Speaking from London in a phone chat with the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) today , Biffo confirmed that the Man of the Match in ABS FC home games will now receive ₦50,000, beginning with Saturday’s NNL encounter against Sokoto United in Ilorin.

For NPFL side Kwara United, the respected tactician pledged ₦500,000 should the Harmony Boys clinch victory in their away clash in Maiduguri, and ₦250,000 if they secure a draw. The reward, he said, is his personal contribution toward improving player motivation and supporting football development in Kwara State.

Biffo further revealed that the Kwara United incentive is dedicated in honour of Ambassador Abdulfatah Yahaya Seriki, and will launch during their away fixture against El-Kanemi Warriors.

Reacting to the development, SWAN Chairman, Ayodeji Ismail, applauded the gesture, describing Biffo as a consistent supporter of football progress in the state. He recalled that the former coach undertook a similar initiative last year, stressing that such interventions help drive performance.

“We appreciate Coach Biffo for this support. It means a lot to the teams and will definitely motivate them to give their best,” Ayodeji said.

The new reward programme is expected to energise both NPFL and NNL players as they head into crucial matches this weekend.
