Nigeria National League(NNL)2021/2022 champions Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin, Monday evening arrived in Ijebu land ahead of their participation in the NPFL/Dozy Mmobuosi Super Cup Preseason Tournament.
The Benin Arsenals have been drawn against their old rivals Shooting Stars FC of Ibadan in their first game of the invitational tournament scheduled to hold tomorrow at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun state. Kickoff time is 3:PM.
The tournament was initially billed for the Onikan stadium in Lagos.
Bendel Insurance will play against Enugu Rangers, Enyimba International FC and Shooting Stars Sports Club in the battle for the mega N100 million naira cash prize on the tournament.
Insurance who gained promotion back to the Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL) and emerged champions at the recently concluded NNL Super Four in Yenagoa, Bayelsa, will be using this tournament as rehearsal for the 2022/2023 NPFL season which is expected to kick off later this month.
