As Bendel Insurance Football Club prepares to resume activities for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, the club’s Supporters’ Club has renewed its pledge of unwavering support, vowing to stand by the team “come rain or sun.”

In a significant show of unity, the Supporters’ Club—led by Chief Osadolor Ogiefa—held a joint meeting with the club’s technical crew, including Head Coach Greg Ikhenoba, in Benin City.

During the meeting, Chief Ogiefa lauded the team’s remarkable turnaround last season, rising from the relegation zone to a top-five finish, which reignited hopes of continental competition qualification.

“We are proud of our darling club and commend Coach Greg Ikhenoba and his team for their resilience,” said Chief Ogiefa. “With the right players and teamwork, we are confident of achieving a podium finish next season.”

He also emphasized the importance of recruiting disciplined and dedicated players, asserting that with the commitment from the Edo State Government, management, and supporters, the onus is now on the players to deliver success.

In response, Coach Ikhenoba expressed gratitude for the support shown by fans during difficult times last season, describing the Bendel Insurance Supporters Club as “the best in the country.”

“The trust and backing from our supporters gave us the strength to push through,” Ikhenoba said. “We’ll work even harder to bring silverware to Edo State next season.”

According to a circular from club secretary Charles Ihimekpen, players and officials are to report for duty on Sunday, June 22, with the first training session scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23.

Meanwhile, the NPFL board has confirmed that the 2025/26 league season will officially kick off on August 22, 2025, setting the stage for what promises to be a fiercely competitive campaign.
