Following a thorough evaluation, the management described Boboye as the ideal choice for the position, citing his proven track record, tactical expertise, and extensive NPFL experience. The former Plateau United and Akwa United boss has been offered a two-year contract as part of the club’s long-term development plan.

Arrangements have been concluded for his official unveiling in Benin City on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

The club expressed optimism that Boboye’s arrival will revitalize the team’s performance and restore confidence as the season progresses.

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has commended Coach Baldwin Bazuaye (MON), an Executive Director in the Commission, for stepping in as Interim Technical Manager following the suspension of Coach Greg Ikhenoba on October 6, 2025.

Bendel Insurance FC, fondly known as the Benin Arsenals, will now look to bounce back under Boboye’s leadership as they aim to reclaim their form and contend strongly in the ongoing NPFL season.
