Barau Fc Gets Boosts Ahead Of NNL Super Eight With Cash Support From Deputy Senate President

As the countdown to the 2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight Playoffs intensifies, Barau FC has received a significant morale boost from its founder and key benefactor, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate.

In a show of commitment and belief in the club’s ambition, Senator Barau visited the team’s training ground on Monday, pledging financial support to spur the players ahead of their promotion bid to the top flight.

His visit, which came just days before the playoffs, was warmly received by the club’s hierarchy and technical crew, and served as a direct motivation to the players, who are aiming for a historic leap into the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

> “We are here to visit and motivate you, the young players of Barau FC. My vision is to see this club among the top teams in Nigeria and eventually in the world. By the grace of God, I will support you in every possible way to gain promotion to the NPFL,” said the Deputy Senate President.

The club’s Media Officer, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, in an official statement, highlighted the importance of the gesture, noting that Senator Barau’s backing reinforces the belief and vision that have guided the club’s rapid rise through the ranks.

Barau FC’s management team, led by Club Chairman Ambassador Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, along with key officials including Board Member Alhaji Abdul AP, Sporting Director Yahya Muhammad, and Technical Adviser Rabi’u Tata, expressed their gratitude and optimism for the playoffs.

Representing the players, team captain Usman Maidubji praised Senator Barau for his consistent encouragement, describing it as “a crucial factor in the club’s progress and success.”

With a blend of local talent and growing ambition, Barau FC enters the Super Eight Playoffs with renewed confidence, buoyed by strong institutional backing and a unified drive to secure a place in Nigeria’s top football division.
