Bamidele on Target as Ferencváros Fall to Ludogorets in First-Leg Defeat

Nigerian forward Bamidele Yusuf scored his third goal of the UEFA Europa League campaign, but it was not enough to prevent Ferencváros from suffering a narrow first-leg defeat to Ludogorets Razgrad at the Huvepharma Arena.

The hosts took the lead in the 23rd minute when Pedro Naressi teed up Kwadwo Duah, who finished calmly with his right foot to put Ludogorets ahead. Ferencváros responded quickly, restoring parity just four minutes later as Mohammad Abu Fani picked out Bamidele Yusuf, who slotted home to make it 1–1.

With the contest finely balanced, Ludogorets found the decisive moment in the 67th minute. Erick Marcus provided the assist for Son, who struck a superb left-footed effort from outside the box to beat the goalkeeper and restore the hosts’ advantage.

Despite Ferencváros pushing for a late equaliser, Ludogorets held firm to take a slim lead into the second leg. Bamidele’s goal keeps Ferencváros in contention, but they will now need a strong response at home to overturn the deficit and progress in the competition.
