Emmanuel, who only last weekend set a new personal best of 46.39s, returned to the track with another commanding display, clocking 46.58s to not only win the race but also break both the Meeting and Facility records. The Wayne State University athlete showed great control and strength throughout the one-lap sprint, finishing well ahead of the competition.

The performance reaffirms Emmanuel’s consistency and growing reputation as one of Nigeria’s top collegiate prospects in the 400m event. His back-to-back sub-47s times signal a peak in form just as the outdoor season heats up.

Following his individual success, Emmanuel is also slated to anchor Wayne State University’s 4×400m relay team in the final later today, where all eyes will be on him to close the meet in style.
